What to expect
Attending a Church for the first time can sometimes be uncomfortable and a little nerve racking. At Harvest Point we don’t want you to be nervous, we want you to come and experience the joy and excitement that comes with walking with the Lord.
Our Sunday morning service starts at 10:30 am and typically last about an hour and a half. It starts with a dynamic time of praise and worship. Then, Pastor Kevin shares God’s word with us by breaking down the meaning of the Bible, and how it applies to our lives in a relevant way.
What should I wear?
Whatever! We dress casual and enjoy the worship experience together. You may feel right at home in jeans and a t-shirt and that is perfectly fine with us! Honestly, we aren’t concerned about your outfit. We’re more concerned about your heart. Wear what you want!
What about my kids?
We love seeing young children around HP. Free, competent and caring childcare is offered for your babies and toddlers during the worship service just a few steps away from the main worship area. Kindergartner-5th graders start out the morning in the sanctuary with their parents for worship and are dismissed to Harvest Kids as Kevin begins to speak. Why? Because we believe that it is very important for kids to see their parents worship and also learn the importance of worship! We also want our children to learn about Jesus on their level.
What is the worship service like?
We have a dynamic time of praise and worship. Our worship is focused on glorifying and honoring God. We don’t just sing about Jesus, we sing to Jesus. We want our worship to be thoughtful as well as theological. “God is spirit, and His worshipers must worship in Spirit and in truth.” (John 4:24) Ultimately, we want to bring praise, honor and glory to God because of the finished work of Jesus on the cross.
