Sunday: What to expect

Attending a Church for the first time can sometimes be uncomfortable and a little nerve racking.  At Harvest Point we don’t want you to be nervous, we want you to come and experience the joy and excitement that comes with walking with the Lord.

Our Sunday service in the sanctuary starts at 10:30 am and typically last about an hour and a half. It starts with a dynamic time of praise and worship. Then, Pastor Kevin shares God’s word with us by breaking down the meaning of the Bible, and how it applies to our lives in a relevant way.

Time & Location

Sunday School begins at: Youth 9:30am / Adults 9:15am. There is no nursery service available during Sunday School to allow our volunteers time to be in God’s Word.

Registration for children ages 3 months through 5th grade begins at 10:15am. You will find the desk to the right as you enter the church through the front door. Our nursery is available for children ages 3 months-age 3/4. Our classes for children are during the main church service.

What should you wear?

Whatever! We dress casual and enjoy the worship experience together. You may feel right at home in jeans and a t-shirt and that is perfectly fine with us! Honestly, we aren’t concenred about your outfit. We’re more concerned about your heart. Wear what you want!

What is our Worship like?

Eric Webb is our Worship Pastor. He leads our Praise Team here at Harvest Point. We have a dynamic time of praise and worship. Our worship is focused on glorifying and honoring God. We don’t just sing about Jesus, we sing to Jesus. We want our worship to be thoughtful as well as theological. “God is spirit, and His worshippers must worship in Spirit and in truth.” (John 4:24) Ultimately, we want to bring praise, honor and glory to God because of the finished work of Jesus on the cross.

What about our Young Children?

Harvest Kids we have a nursery, starting at 3 months, and a few classrooms for our older kids, Pre-K-5th. Spencer Langley is our Children’s Director and oversees all things to do with our younger kids. Our vision and mission is to see children grow up to be disciples of Jesus. We want to teach children the Gospel and show them the love of God as they grow into adolescence. Harvest Kids partner with parents to cultivate fun-loving relationships with children and teach them about Jesus on their level, to know and grow.

What about our Youth?

HPS is the student ministry of Harvest Point Church. Derron Logan, we just call him D here, is our Youth Pastor. At Harvest point we want to see students understand the Gospel and come into a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. HPS is dedicated to biblical teaching that is both relevant and practical to everyday life. We want to create an environment where students can build meaningful relationships with other students and our student leaders.

On Wednesday nights we have a Youth Bible Study and then hang out and play games. We periodically have church lock ins, community service opportunities and various supervised events for them to attend together. So come get your kids involved!

Food, Fellowship and Discipleship

On Wednesday’s we have a meal as a church family at 5:30pm. We eat good and sit around and joke around and do life together. Our meal system is set up where it’s just $5 per person with a maximum charge of $15 per family. Following our meals, at 6:30pm we do a semester of classes. So come join us on Wednesday nights.
